A utopia is an imagined situation or place in which everything is perfect. Each of us has our own version of what an ideal world would look like. A utopia often involves exaggerations, and even impossibilities!
Task:
Your task is to create a digital collage in Photoshop of your own ideal world. You will not be using any text for this assignment.
Process:
- Think of what a perfect world looks like to you. What are the political, social, economic values? Think about your own values, what you like and what is important to you.
- Choose a minimum of 6 images that convey what your perfect world looks like.
- Create a collage using all the Photoshop tools you are familiar with
- Write a short description of your utopia (what makes your world a perfect place in your eyes) and describe your editing process.
Criteria:
- no white space / use all the space on the page
- 8.5 X 11 inches 300 dpi
- include at least 6 images that reflect your utopian vision
- includes exaggerations of your ideal/perfect world
- create a seamless image, using tools such as the ghosting method, the eraser tool and pen tool to put images together so that your image looks like one singular image
